Why DosageBuzz exists

GLP-1 medications are one of the most-searched, most-confusing categories in medicine right now. Ozempic and Wegovy are the same drug at different doses. Mounjaro and Zepbound are the same drug marketed two different ways. Pricing swings from $25 to $1,600 a month depending on a form you haven't filled out yet. Most of what's written about these drugs is either a manufacturer's marketing page or a provider's sales funnel. DosageBuzz exists to be neither — a place to actually understand what you're choosing between before you talk to a provider.

What we cover

Head-to-head comparisons of GLP-1 medications, what they actually cost with and without insurance, what telehealth providers offer and how their pricing really breaks down, and what to expect side-effect-wise once you start. We link out to providers because at some point you do need a licensed clinician — but we try to get you there informed rather than cold.

How we source content

Clinical claims are sourced from FDA prescribing information, published trial data (like the STEP and SURMOUNT trial programs), and manufacturer pricing pages. Where figures vary by source — which happens constantly in this space — we say so rather than picking one number and presenting it as certain.

Medical review

Content involving clinical claims — dosing, side effects, drug comparisons — is reviewed for accuracy before publishing. Reviewer credentials are noted on individual articles. If you notice something that looks outdated or incorrect, we want to know — see our contact page.
